Drone work is the layer of the package most projects get wrong. The tell is usually the same. A great house, a clean grade on the interior, a hero film that holds together, and then the aerial cuts in and the look falls off a cliff. The drone clips were shot on a different body, in a different format, and graded by a different person, and the audience can read that within a second. We fly the same way we shoot, on the same kit decisions, into the same grading suite.

The flights break into a few groups.

FL01

Cinematic flights.

The drone is part of a brand, hospitality, real estate, or entertainment piece and has to match the rest of the package. Same kit decisions, same grading suite, no second-team look.

FL02

Live event coverage.

Concerts, festivals, tours, and brand activations call for aerial moves that read like they belong to the night. Same airframes, scaled to whatever the venue's airspace allows.

FL03

Documentary flights.

The brief is a record more than a brand piece. Roofing inspections, project progress, surveying coverage. Same pilot, same approach to airspace, the difference is what comes out the other end of the post pipeline.

FAA Part 107 is the floor, not the ceiling.

FAA Part 107 is the floor, not the ceiling. The pilot of record holds a current Part 107 certificate, files LAANC for any flight inside controlled airspace, and carries commercial drone insurance. Certificates and proof of authorization are available before the flight, not three weeks after the deck has gone to the client. The day-to-day footprint is SoCal where we know the airspace and the controllers, with international markets handled per shoot, on whatever local authorization the country requires.

Common questions, straight answers.

  • 06:14:02 PDTEntry 01

Are you FAA Part 107 certified?

Yes. The pilot of record holds a current FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate, files LAANC for controlled airspace, and carries commercial drone insurance. Certificates available on request.

  • 07:42:18 PDTEntry 02

    Where do you fly?

Anywhere we are permitted to fly. The day-to-day footprint is SoCal, and the team has flown coverage in NYC, Tokyo, Seoul, La Jolla, and other international markets through the local authorization chain. Outside the standard footprint is a discovery call about lead time and airspace.

  • 09:18:45 PDTEntry 03

    Can you do drone time-lapses?

Yes. Hyperlapse-style aerial moves, fixed-position long-form time-lapse, and ground-and-air composite passes. Time-lapse is usually a multi-day setup with separate billing for the hold, scoped at the start.

  • 11:03:27 PDTEntry 04

Do you handle photogrammetry or 3D mapping?

Yes, when the deliverable calls for it. Photogrammetry runs in the construction-and-surveying side of the work more often than the cinematic side. Output is processed orthomosaic or point-cloud data handed off to the project's engineering pipeline.

  • 14:29:51 PDTEntry 05

Can the drone footage be graded to match the rest of the package?

Always. That is the point. Drone runs through the same grading suite and ACES pipeline as the rest of the engagement, so the cuts read as part of one film instead of footage from a second team.
